Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Family Movie for kids under 10
In the old days parents with very young children used to go the cinema to watch live action fantasy adventures, wildlife documentaries and cartoons. However after "Toy Story" everything changed, mum and dad suddenly had the option of chuckling at a subversive movie wrapped up in kid-friendly day-glo colours. Whilst there have been plenty of great CGI movies since Pixars debut (most of them from that studio) it's nice to see a film with real moving actors from time to time and so Mr Magorium's Wonder ... Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - an amazing flop, all things considered
Wonderful and charming actors (though Portman should have probably twitched less), great set, the general idea not bad either - strangely, all those things combined produced one of the most boring family movies I have seen in years. There is absolutely no chemistry between all the heroes, dialogue is really flat and the the result looks like it was done in a hurry just to get rid of the whole. Waste of money and time. If you want a good family movie, watch Secondhand Lions instead.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Insanely Good
The story revolves around Mr. Magorium (there's a surprise!) who is due to give up his magical toy store to his self doubting assistant (Natalie Portman).
The film takes the form of chapters from a book, each chapter telling a different event in the eventual acceptance of the toy store of its new owner.
A wonderfully different tale for children and adults alike.
If you wan't to be transported to be a time in your childhood when all things were possible, watch this. Fantastic.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - It's for kids let them judge
I watched this with my 11 and 6 year olds and they loved it
and so did they're friends, it was just OK to me but the film
isn't made for adults is it?

I see all the bad comments and ratings here are by adults or
older teenagers, thats not fair on the film as the ones who
enjoy it don't get their say and if they did this would be
5 star material all the way.

It's colourful, magical and a sugary sweet tale, very entertaining.
I won't go ... Read More

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - don't waste your money
This has got to be just about the worst kids movie I have watched in a long time, considering the fantastic quality we have on offer. Although this film has some clever special effects it has zero else to offer! Dustin Hoffman's character is just painful to watch, the little kid is just about bearable but basically I wish I had not bothered. My 4 and 6 year old left the room and found alternative entertainment and my 11 year old fell asleep it was so dull. Save your money, get something else!
