It amazes me to think that last year I knew little to nothing about the former Governor of Arkansas. Then out of nowhere he steps onto the political scene to endear us with his thoughts. His stories are full of cheer and heartwarming considerations applicable to all of us. My first thoughts about buying his book was that he would be another political hack similar to others we have grown to know and yes even elect. - Slow moving and predictable book
As much as I "adore" Mike this is a slow moving book with predictable story lines. Unless you live in Arkansas, there is not much of interest in these stories.

While I don't agree with Mike Huckabee politically 100% of the time, you can't argue with his main premise in his book which is that we need leadership with "Character".
Mike is a down-to-earth kind of guy with a country, home-spun, self-depriciating humor that will move even the coldest hearts.
Mike writes like he talks (in fact, sometimes better) so if you have seen his TV show, you will get an idea of how the book will flow.
