My 17 month old son loves this book. Today when I went to pick him up from day care, he was holding this book, sat down and started "reading" it. He shook his finger in the air and said "no no monkey bed." All the other kids in the class saw what he was doing and they too (other 17 month olds) started shaking their fingers in the air saying "no no" and tapping their heads (for "bumped his head"). Rating: - absolute favorite night time book for my kids..
my little girl will ask me, long story or short story? depending on what time it is and how tired I am is how we decide. When it's late, we always go for a short story, and she always picks this one. My girl and my son gather on the bed and read our favorite book. We've read it so often, they'll recite the words as we read. Always puts us in a good mood and gets us ready for bed. What a joy!.
