If you have used FrameMaker and understand it enough to consider yourself functional, then you need this book. I paid $200 for my copy and that's a huge premium from the original price. Is it worth it? You bet. It's easy to understand for the intermediate user and takes you all the way from Houston to the moon and back. Wonderful book and tool.

I've spent as much time reading this as the one sent from Adobe when I ordered FrameMaker 7.0. Meaning, it's just as useful (or worthless) as the one from Adobe. Too many features are just as cryptic and vague. I've spent hours experimenting just to find exactly how to format this, or how to customize that with their general descriptions--until it actually worked. FrameMaker 7: The Complete Reference is, as described in virtually all of its reviews here at amazon.com, a good reference book and a good choice for learning FrameMaker. Its information is good; however, the book's paper, print quality, and binding are all very poor. The spine on my copy broke after just a few days of handling.
