A novel you most certainly can't put down. With a neat plot, interesting characters and a very well written story, you won't regret reading this one. Kelly Armstrong writes a fast pace novel, that by the end of each chapter we'll leave the reader wanting more. The end will have the same affect on you. About a year ago, I bought this story from Chapters but it sat on my TBR pile for a long time. And I feel that is a shame, because this is really good read and I recommend it to anyone.

Kelley Armstrong has a hit series with this one IMO. I really like her Women of the Underworld series and this one rates right up there with it. In a refreshing plot the main character, Chloe, has to deal with her new discovered ability to raise the dead. She is a necromancer. This is a new world to me as in most of the books I have read in the paranormal genre have been about vampires or werewolfs. 'I see dead people' - well, it worked in "Sixth Sense" and it definitely works here, mainly because there's so much more here than that. Chloe gets her first period and is harassed by a very gross-looking ghost on the same day - at school, of course! She's happy about the first event, even tho she has to vandalize the bathroom dispenser to get a sanitary napkin, but the ghost (her second of the day) really freaks her out, and the school insists on two weeks of counseling in a group youth center before she ... This book is really good book. I recently bought this and read it in two days...I could not put it down. The only thing about this book is that it ends right in the exciting part!!So if you buy this, you need to buy the whole series at the same time or you will be tortured like me wanting to know what happens next!!
